Job summary

North Atlantic Industries is seeking a Sustaining Engineer to support and enhance the lifecycle of advanced embedded electronic systems, focusing on analog/mixed-signal design and synchro/resolver technologies. You will work on high-reliability aerospace/defense products, ensuring performance, reliability, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3–7+ years of electronics engineering experience with emphasis on analog circuit design.
• Direct experience with synchro/resolver technology and signal conditioning.
• Strong knowledge of analog and mixed-signal design and test methods.
• Experience with schematic capture and PCB design tools (Altium/OrCAD).
• Background in aerospace/defense or high-reliability electronics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support sustaining engineering for high-reliability electronics across assemblies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in legacy and production hardware, including synchro/resolver circuits.
• Perform root cause analysis (CAPA) on field returns and failures.
• Design, test, and validate analog circuitry and data acquisition systems.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and design to ensure performance and compliance.
• Update schematics/BOMs and engineering docs for changes and obsolescence mitigation.
• Develop validation/verification tests for electronic systems and subsystems.
• Provide hands-on technical support to production and test stations.
• Evaluate replacement components for obsolescence and end-of-life scenarios.
• Drive continuous improvement for reliability, manufacturability, and cost.
