Job summary

Digital Dynamics Inc. is seeking a Staff Electrical Sustaining Engineer to provide technical leadership and ownership of mature electrical hardware products post-launch. You will mentor teams and guide critical sustaining initiatives across reliability, obsolescence, and regulatory updates.

Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Firmware/Systems teams to ensure high quality, cost-effective, and manufacturable designs, while advancing best practices in sustaining engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 8+ years hands-on electrical hardware engineering experience, with sustaining lifecycle background.
• Ability to independently lead investigations, design changes, and cross-functional initiatives.
• Proficient with schematic capture and PCB layout tools (Altium, Cadence, KiCad, PADS).
• Strong knowledge of analog/digital, power management, and MCU interfaces (I2C, SPI, UART, CAN).
• Experienced with 8D, RCA, FMEA and ECO/ECN processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, mentoring, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical leadership for electrical hardware across post-release lifecycle.
• Drive sustaining engineering initiatives: reliability, obsolescence, cost and manufacturability.
• Design, modify, test, and validate PCBAs addressing EOL components and reliability issues.
• Lead ECO/ECN activities: selections, schematics, layouts, risk assessments, validation, documentation.
• Provide guidance to engineers and cross-functional teams on design and sustaining issues.
• Identify opportunities for long-term product/process improvements across platforms.
