Job summary

Reworld is seeking an Equipment Operator to safely and efficiently process inbound materials and refuse within our industrial disposal process in Montgomery, Alabama. The role requires operating a range of equipment and adhering to site housekeeping standards.

Candidates should have at least 1 year of experience with industrial equipment and be able to work rotating shifts. We offer comprehensive benefits and a strong safety culture at Reworld.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• A minimum of 1 year experience operating industrial equipment.
• Must have the ability to work a rotating shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process inbound materials, through the safe operation of various types of industrial equipment, such as forklift, track hoe, skid steer, vacuum truck, tanker truck, roll-off truck, walking floor trailer, pressure washer, material handling equipment, and various hand tools.
• Receive, weigh, unpack, and label containers, as necessary.
• Safely operate industrial equipment to consolidate dumped refuse on the tipping floor.
• Follow defined industrial and manufacturing good housekeeping practices at all Reworld facilities and within assigned work areas.
• Exterior site maintenance and improvement, as needed, which includes: litter collection, painting, snow removal and ice prevention.
• Traffic Control for incoming/outgoing traffic.
• Assist facility mechanic(s) with equipment repairs.
• Additional duties as assigned to ensure safe and efficient facility operations.
