Teknor Apex invites a Technical Research Co-op to participate in laboratory research focused on sustainable PHB resins. You will work with experienced scientists to evaluate stabilization and colorability, preparing formulations, processing samples, and documenting results.

The role offers hands-on lab experience, opportunities to contribute to future product development, and exposure to ongoing R&D projects in a collaborative team setting.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, Chemistry, Materials Science, Plastics Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong laboratory and analytical skills.
• Detail-oriented with excellent documentation habits.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Interest in sustainable materials and polymer development.

Responsibilities

• Conduct laboratory experiments related to PHB stabilization and colorability
• Prepare formulations and process polymer samples
• Collect, analyze, and document experimental data
• Assist with testing material performance and properties
• Present research findings and recommendations to the technical team
• Maintain laboratory equipment and follow all safety procedures
• Support ongoing R&D projects as needed
