Job summary

Glumac, a Tetra Tech company, is expanding its plumbing engineering group in Austin. The Plumbing Engineer/Designer will support design and construction administration, perform system calculations, and collaborate with multiple disciplines while mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in consulting, construction, or similar.
• Proficient in Revit (BIM).
• Strong plumbing design experience across healthcare, commercial, and residential sectors.
• Must be located within commuting distance of Glumac’s Austin, TX office and eligible to work in the U.S.
• Excellent communication and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Support plumbing piping designs and prepare construction documents.
• Perform plumbing calculations (fixtures, booster/ ejector pumps, hot water loads, etc.).
• Coordinate with ownership and multi-disciplinary teams.
• Support Construction Administration: RFIs, submittals, site visits, and field reports.
• Mentor junior engineers/designers and help grow the local plumbing team.
• Assist with Business Development opportunities when needed.
