Job summary

Glumac, a Tetra Tech company, is seeking a Plumbing Engineer/Designer in Seattle to design sustainable plumbing systems across healthcare, commercial, and multifamily projects. You will contribute from schematic through construction, perform calculations, and coordinate with cross-disciplinary teams.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of plumbing design experience, proficiency in Revit, and a collaborative mindset. This role offers a hybrid schedule with two in-office days per week in Seattle.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in consulting, construction, or similar.
• Proficient in Revit (BIM).
• Strong plumbing design experience (commercial, healthcare, process, etc.).
• Must be located within commutable distance of Seattle office.
• Authorized to work in the United States full-time; not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Support plumbing piping designs and prepare construction documents.
• Perform plumbing calculations: fixture counts, booster pump head, hot water loads, etc.
• Coordinate with ownership, mechanical, electrical, structural, and architectural teams.
• Support Construction Administration: RFIs, submittal reviews, site visits, and field reports.
• Mentor junior engineers/designers and help grow the local plumbing team.
• Assist with Business Development (BD) opportunities when needed.
