Green's Natural Foods in Somers is seeking a friendly cashier to join our team. You will warmly greet customers, scan purchases with the POS, and handle payments while ensuring accuracy and speed.

You will answer questions about organic and locally sourced items, restock shelves as needed, and maintain a clean checkout area. Prior cashier experience is helpful but not required; reliability and a customer-first attitude are essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide a welcoming checkout experience.
• Accurately scan and process purchases using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Handle cash, credit/debit cards, and mobile payments responsibly.
• Answer customer questions about products, including organic and locally sourced items.
• Assist with bagging groceries while following proper handling of fresh and delicate items.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked checkout area.
• Verify product codes for bulk items and produce.
• Support store operations by restocking shelves or assisting other departments as needed.
• Follow all store policies, including those related to food safety and sustainability practices.
