Foodtown, Inc. is seeking a friendly cashier to deliver accurate, efficient checkout service. You will greet customers, scan and bag products, and handle payments with care while maintaining a clean front-end area.

The role requires standing for long periods, basic math, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. You will work as part of a team to ensure customer satisfaction and store standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand English.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to stand/walk for a full shift.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 25 lbs. and occasionally 50 lbs.
• Ability to work with fresh, dried and/or processed foods and related products.
• Ability to tolerate dust and cleaning agents.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures.
• Ability to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment.
• Clean and sanitize surfaces, utensils, and equipment per standards.
• Lift, push, pull and rotate merchandise up to 50 lbs. when needed.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Operate the cash register and handle payments accurately.
• Bag orders safely and efficiently and process various payment forms.
