Job summary

Amrize in Michigan is seeking a Mechanical Engineer Intern for Summer 2027. This 10‑week, paid internship offers hands‑on experience in a plant environment, with opportunities to support maintenance, review P&ID drawings, and collaborate with senior engineers.

You will gain field exposure, assist in safety implementations, and present learnings to our executive leadership team at the internship end. Strong communication, academic performance, and willingness to travel between sites are desired.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintenance, repair, and optimization of mechanical equipment.
• Create and modify P&ID drawings using AutoCAD.
• Support senior engineers in interpreting drawings and equipment layouts.
• Help implement safety protocols and procedures.
• Apply a range of skills in daily operations and teamwork.
• Present learnings to executive leadership at internship end.
