Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a Weld Manufacturing Engineer in La Crosse, Wisconsin. You will operate advanced welding systems and shape sustainable manufacturing processes to boost quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with MIG or TIG welding preferred.
• PFMEA experience preferred.
• Ability to assess manufacturing issues related to process and design.
• Effective communication at multiple levels and relationship building.
• Growth mindset and willingness to expand technical skillset.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely resolution of manufacturing process and product design problems, including investigations and corrective action planning.
• Be the subject matter expert in weld processes within the plant engineering group.
• Create cost-effective and safe manufacturing processes, equipment, and tools to improve manufacturing operations.
• Design manufacturing flow lines, workstation layouts, and station controls that optimize efficiency and product quality.
• Uphold manufacturing standards including machine capability, process maps, set-ups, quality controls, tooling and fixture records, routings, and cycle times.
• Generate work instructions, job breakdowns, and standardized work to ensure quality at the source meets specs.
• Serve as a voice of the customer for input for new design development.
• Partner with on-site EHS to ensure safety regulations compliance.
