Billerud Americas Corporation is offering an on-site Summer Internship in Accounting or Finance at our Escanaba or Quinnesec facilities in Michigan. The role supports the Accounting and Finance teams with cost reporting, policy interpretation, and process documentation.

The ideal candidate will be pursuing a Finance or Accounting major, have basic accounting knowledge, and be proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office. Collaboration, initiative, and a drive to improve efficiency are valued.

Qualifications

• Must have completed sophomore year of college majoring in Finance or Accounting.
• Must have basic accounting functional knowledge.
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and analyzing cost reports.
• Interpretation and application of financial policies and accounting standards.
• Development of standard work documentation for training purposes.
• Investigation analysis and resolutions of variances.
• Collaborating with internal customers.
• Analysis of current manual tasks and recommendation for automation where necessary.
• Additional projects as assigned.
