Qualifications

• Must meet one of the listed Vermont credential options.
• Background check required by the Department of Early Education and Care.
• Experience with groups of children from pre-school age or younger is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement daily lesson plans aligned with developmentally appropriate practice.
• Lead classroom routines and promote environmental responsibility.
• Supervise children during activities and report concerns per policy.
• Engage families and lead conferences to support student growth.
• Collaborate with team and coach other teachers in sustainable practices.

Education

Vermont Early Childhood Career Ladder Level 3 Certificate

Associate degree in Early Childhood or related field

Certificate of Completion from Registered Child Care Apprenticeship Program

Child Care Certificate from Community College of Vermont

21 college credits in early childhood focus with 12 months experience
