Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Sustainability Manager to lead deployment of sustainability initiatives, manage packaging metrics, and translate reporting into business insights that enhance site performance and support growth in PCR and recycle-ready materials.

The role serves as a subject matter expert across the Business Group, collaborating with Commercial, R&D, Operations and others to advance Amcor’s sustainability agenda and goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; Master’s preferred.
• At least 6 years in engineering or business roles related to sustainability of manufactured products, preferably plastics.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills with Excel and large datasets.
• Experience with reporting/visualization tools to improve data accessibility and decision-making.
• Familiarity with EPR/FPR, PCR mandates, recyclability requirements, and sustainability reporting.

Responsibilities

• Define and track key sustainable packaging metrics, translate results into business insights, and present to leadership.
• Collaborate with product development, sales, and operations to support sustainability plans.
• Improve standardized processes for customer sustainability requests, including compliance data and ESG reporting.
• Monitor trends and educate the organization on sustainable packaging reporting and customer support.
• Drive reporting improvements using site and commercial performance data to identify opportunities.
