Job summary

Sempra Energy is seeking a senior sustainability communications professional to manage the annual sustainability report and coordinate cross‑functional efforts across investor relations, branding, and communications. The role emphasizes data-driven storytelling and survey responses to key industry rankings.

The ideal candidate will bring 7+ years in corporate sustainability communications, strong project management, and the ability to summarise complex data into clear narratives for executives

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience developing communications and/or reports.
• 7+ years of related experience in corporate sustainability or strategy development.
• 5+ years of cross‑functional project management.
• 2+ years understanding sustainability frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Manage the strategic progression of the annual sustainability report.
• Coordinate deadlines and milestones across reporting workstreams.
• Foster cross-functional alignment between sustainability, communications, branding, and investor relations.
• Prepare responses to key sustainability surveys and ratings.
• Create talking points and presentations for stakeholders.
• Lead strategic research on sustainability trends and reporting practices.
