The Sustainability and Public Health Engineer leads engineering activities for the MnDOT Office of Sustainability and Public Health, integrating climate action, health, and equity into MnDOT’s project development process.

The position works with agency staff and technical experts to identify needs, conduct assessments and research, develop guidance and training, and support the implementation of state and federal requirements.

Qualifications

• Professional engineer licensure (AELSLAGID) required.
• Three years of experience as Engineer Senior or equivalent.

Responsabilités

• Lead processes to incorporate sustainability and public health into MnDOT standards and guidance.
• Facilitate decision-making with technical partners to set targets and deliver training.
• Develop and review engineering plans reflecting climate science and agency goals.
• Monitor trends to identify process improvements and inform agency decisions.
