Job summary

The Town of Ashland seeks a qualified Sustainability Program Coordinator to design and implement programs that lower environmental impact. You will manage local government policies and initiatives promoting environmental, energy, economic, and social sustainability.

Responsibilities include leading sustainability projects, coordinating with Town departments and boards, and securing grant funding for office initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required; environmental discipline preferred.
• Master’s degree in related field preferred (planning, environmental science, sustainable business, engineering, or public administration/policy).
• Minimum 3 years of experience developing, maintaining, and/or managing sustainability initiatives or programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and management of Town sustainability initiatives and programs (e.g., NetZero).
• Coordinate collaboration among Town departments, boards, committees, task forces, and outside resources.
