About The Role

As part of Reworld’s environmental and sustainability team, the Manager will lead corporate sustainability reporting, focusing on external communication with stakeholders including investors, community members, customers, and policymakers. Responsibilities include developing sustainability messaging, reports, and programs to improve performance, support customer sustainability goals, and report progress. This role offers a chance to impact business development, customer service, and sales directly. We seek a creative, dynamic, and passionate individual to help advance sustainable materials management and renewable energy through innovative services and products.

Work Location: Morristown, NJ

Work Schedule: Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days remote)

Responsibilities:

• Lead corporate sustainability disclosures and reports (e.g., CDP, TCFD, EcoVadis, GRI).
• Communicate sustainability content to leadership, customers, and partners.
• Monitor and interpret evolving sustainability regulations impacting operations.
• Oversee data validation, prepare data summaries, and present sustainability performance to stakeholders.
• Collaborate on developing sustainability metrics and manage data processes.
• Initiate projects to enhance sustainable waste management services.
• Coordinate with sales, business development, government relations, and outreach teams on sustainability messaging.
• Participate in trade associations and mentor EHS staff to promote a sustainability culture.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, with 8+ years of sustainability experience in a corporate setting, capable of developing solutions and communicating with diverse stakeholders including community groups and policymakers. They should work well across teams including sales, marketing, and business development.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in scientific, engineering, environmental, or sustainability disciplines; Master’s preferred.
• 8+ years of corporate sustainability experience, including 4+ years leading projects.
• Experience with lifecycle inventories, GHG reporting, sustainability/ESG reports, and ratings responses.
• Knowledge of renewable energy credits, carbon offsets, water/air permits is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating complex concepts to varied audiences.
• Willingness to travel (30%).
