Job summary

Fawkes & Reece Group seeks a sustainability specialist to lead green building assessments and environmental management across projects onsite in Hackney. You will implement ISO 14001/50001, PAS 2080, and oversee carbon reporting, LCAs and EPDs, interfacing with site teams, authorities, and supply chains.

The role requires strong knowledge of Part L and Building Regulations, with a focus on delivering ambitious carbon targets within UK construction projects.

Qualifications

• Experience implementing green building standards and environmental management systems.
• Ability to track carbon footprints, LCAs and EPDs.
• Knowledge of UK Building Regulations and Part L is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead project assessments for BREEAM and LEED.
• Implement and maintain ISO 14001, ISO 50001 and PAS 2080.
• Track and report carbon footprints, EPDs and LCAs.
• Interface with site teams, QS, authorities and supply chain to drive green targets.
• Provide guidance on Part L and Building Regulations.

Job description

Based 5 days a week onsite in East London, Hackney

Need to have strong construction experience

Key Responsibilities

• Lead project assessments for green building standards such as BREEAM, and LEED.
• Implement and maintain frameworks such as ISO 14001 (Environmental Management), ISO 50001 (Energy Management), and PAS 2080 (Carbon Management in Infrastructure).
• Track and report carbon footprints, environmental product declarations (EPDs), and life-cycle analyses (LCAs).
• Interface with site teams, commercial/quantity surveying teams, local authorities, and the supply chain to drive self-delivery of green targets.
• Provide technical guidance on shifting standards (such as Part L and F Building Regulations).
