Job summary

The Sustainability Project Engineer will work within the Sustainability department and report to the Sustainability Manager. This role serves as the on-site sustainability representative, partnering with project teams, design professionals, clients, and trade partners to support sustainable construction practices and project sustainability goals.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or higher degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or equivalent.
LEED Accredited Professional or ability to become accredited within 18 months.
Proficiency in sustainable design principles, renewable energy technologies, carbon accounting, and environmental performance reporting.
Strong written and verbal communication with the ability to collaborate across disciplines.

Responsibilities

Coordinate sustainability documentation and LEED and other certification efforts.
Support embodied carbon tracking and reporting for construction materials.
Review environmental product declarations and sustainability submittals.
Monitor waste diversion and collaborate with trade partners to meet sustainability goals.
Participate in sustainability planning meetings with owners, design teams, and trade partners.
