Job summary

TPG is seeking a Responsible Investing Research Assistant to support academic and industry research on social impact and sustainability across its global portfolio. The role involves fast-paced research, deal work, and engagement with portfolio companies on human capital management, climate, and ESG topics.

Ideal candidates are students in relevant programs with strong communication skills. This internship runs June–August 2027 in New York, offers $22.50 per hour and a 40-hour workweek.

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Sponsorship not available for this position
• Must be located in one of the states listed for the internship
• Undergraduate student with at least two years of study, or a graduate student, in a relevant program
• Experience or interest in responsible investing, climate/sustainability, or related field
• Ability to efficiently conduct and synthesize market research
• Ability to use AI-enabled research tools responsibly
• Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills, fluency in English
• Experience with SASB/GRI is a plus

Responsibilities

• Support academic and industry research and analysis of social impact across investments
• Prepare thought leadership and drive performance on responsible investing and sustainability factors
• Engage with portfolio companies on topics such as human capital management, climate, and ESG considerations
