Job summary

TPG is seeking a Responsible Investing Research Assistant to help analyze social impact from current and potential investments and support sustainability initiatives across the firm’s global portfolio. The role involves fast-paced research, deal work, and engagement with portfolio companies on ESG topics such as human capital, environmental health and safety, and climate.

Ideal candidates are pursuing Environmental Sciences, Economics, Business, or related fields, with strong writing,

Qualifications

Undergraduate student who has completed at least two years of study, or a graduate student currently pursuing a degree in Environmental Sciences, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sustainability, Business, Economics, Public Administration, or another relevant program.
Experience or demonstrated interest in responsible investing, corporate social responsibility, climate/sustainability, consulting, finance, impact investing, or a related field.
Ability to efficiently conduct and synthesize market research.
Ability to use AI-enabled research and productivity tools effectively, responsibly, and with appropriate judgement.
Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills.
Excellent written and spoken communication skills, and fluency in English.

Responsibilities

Support academic and industry research on social impact from investments and sustainability topics.
Prepare thought leadership and drive improved performance on responsible investing across TPG’s portfolio.
Engage with portfolio companies on topics including human capital, external stakeholder relations, and ESG factors.
