Job summary

Johnsonville's Summer 2027 Sustainability Internship provides hands-on project work across sustainability topics in a corporate, agriculture-focused setting. You will contribute to real projects and collaborate with business partners to see how sustainability impacts our operations.

You will join organized activities with peers from across the company, expanding your network and learning from seasoned professionals while developing practical ESG experience.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in sustainability or an environmental-related field.
• GPA 3.5 minimum strongly preferred.
• Some prior work experience preferred.
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with strategic target / goal setting.
• Gather responses and report on ESG metrics defined in the Meat Institute's Protein Pact.
• Participate in sustainability-related committees / workstreams (sustainable packaging, regulatory / compliance, decarbonization, etc.).
• Ad hoc ESG-related projects as necessary.
• Work closely with your assigned coach, who will mentor you and help further enhance your internship experience.
