Universal Leaf Tobacco Company is offering a Summer 2027 Sustainability/ESG Internship in Richmond, VA. The role reports to the Sustainability Manager and focuses on data management, analysis, and reporting across global operations, with exposure to cross-functional teams and international collaboration.

Ideal candidates are final-year undergraduates in Environmental Sciences, Data Analytics, Sustainability, Engineering, or related fields, with strong Excel and MS Office skills, and a drive to

Competenze

• Preference given to seniors in undergrad in Environmental Sciences, Data Analytics, Sustainability, Engineering, or related disciplines.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with SharePoint, OneDrive, and Microsoft Teams preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-starter with strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel to Universal locations for site visits.

Mansioni

• Assist ESG data management, analysis, and reporting for global operations.
• Organize communications for the global sustainability project tracker with cross‑functional teams.
• Benchmark peer and customer sustainability trends and report findings to Sustainability/Operations teams.
• Capture meeting notes and outcomes from sustainability check-ins across regions.
• Support development of the company’s annual sustainability report.
• Conduct desk-based research on ESG and sustainability topics.
