Job summary

Textron Aviation is seeking a Sustainability Intern to help operationalize sustainability by organizing events, collecting data, and conducting research. You will support site projects, prepare presentations, and analyze data to drive improvements.

The role emphasizes hands-on work, mentorship, and exposure to real projects across Textron’s sustainability initiatives, with on-site requirements and a 10-week, 40-hours-per-week summer schedule.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.
• Studies in sustainability, ESG, environment, or business management are relevant.
• Strong analytical and communication skills required.
• Familiarity with Lean and Six Sigma is a plus.
• Proficient computer skills and the ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Assist with identifying and supporting site sustainability improvement projects.
• Assist with preparation of sustainability presentations.
• Compile and evaluate sustainability data.
• Identify site utility consumption and opportunities to reduce energy use and cost.
• Identify plausible opportunities to reduce site energy use.
