Job summary

Yamaha Motor Manufacturing Corporation of America seeks a Sustainability Engineer to support the development, implementation, and continual improvement of Environmental/Energy Programs and the ISO 14001/ISO 50001 Management System.

Reporting to the Manager of Environmental and Sustainability, you will interface with corporate, governmental and third parties, tracking carbon reductions and energy use while advancing Yamaha’s 2050 environmental plan and 2035 carbon-neutral goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Energy Management or related field.
• 6+ years in manufacturing environment related to environmental compliance, sustainability, energy management or related areas.

Responsibilities

• Interface with corporate, governmental and third parties and compile sustainability reports.
• Coordinate CO2 emission reductions with Yamaha North America locations and global utility teams.
• Develop solutions to reduce CO2 emissions and improve energy consumption through research and projects.
• Monitor energy usage data and track Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions per policy.
• Support solar power installations, renewables projects and related cost management.
• Conduct energy audits and cost-benefit analyses for energy-saving measures.
• Create energy conservation training and support zero waste initiatives.
