Job summary

Gilbane Building Company is seeking a Sustainability Data Collection & Analysis Specialist in Boston to manage data, support reporting, and enable continuous improvement across sustainability programs. You will own data-management processes, troubleshoot data issues, and translate complex information for stakeholders.

The role emphasizes building dashboards, validating data quality, and collaborating with IT and business partners to improve reporting and insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in data analytics, accounting, computer science, information systems, statistics, applied mathematics, environmental science, sustainability, engineering, business, or a related field.
• Two or more years of practical experience in data processing, programming, business intelligence, reporting, analytics, sustainability data, or a related discipline.
• An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
• Experience working with environmental, sustainability, ESG, construction, or operational data is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of the data aggregator tool, including coordination of data, system, and stakeholder needs.
• Maintain ongoing data aggregator maintenance to support sustainability data collection and reporting.
• Support sustainability data collection and troubleshooting with data owners to address data-quality and process issues.
• Work with IT to structure, stage, and integrate sustainability data for dashboards, reports, and analytical tools.
• Support administration and continuous improvement of sustainability data and data-visualization systems.
• Document data sources, definitions, methodologies, workflows, controls, and reporting requirements for audit-ready formats.
