Job summary

MSCI Inc. in San Francisco is seeking a Client Specialist to join its Sustainability & Climate team.

You will manage relationships with a portfolio of major financial institutions, develop expertise in MSCI’s Sustainability products, and coordinate with sales and client service to support renewals and growth. The role emphasizes proactive client management, education, and collaboration across Product and Research & Development.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a client-facing role within financial services or sustainability.
• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Interest in developing strong external client relationships with exposure to sustainable investing or finance.
• Developing understanding and willingness to leverage AI tools in day-to-day workflows.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the domain expert on MSCI’s Sustainability suite and master client objectives for integrating our solutions.
• Manage client inquiries and issue resolution using Salesforce, Gainsight and internal tools in partnership with Client Service.
• Monitor and ensure client satisfaction through projects and initiatives.
• Achieve renewal and retention targets by managing a dedicated portfolio across finance segments.
• Drive revenue growth through outstanding service, proactive engagement, and relationship-building.
• Identify at-risk accounts, forecast risk, and develop retention plans with cross-functional teams.
