Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Sustainability Manager to drive sustainable packaging metrics and reporting across the Business Group. You will translate data into business insights that improve site performance and support growth in PCR and recycle-ready materials.

The role requires collaboration with Product Development, Sales, and Operations to advance Amcor’s sustainability agenda and ensure alignment with corporate goals. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Environmental Science, or Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 6 years in engineering or business roles related to sustainability of manufactured products, preferably plastics.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills; proficiency in Excel and large datasets.
• Experience with reporting/visualization tools (Power BI or similar).
• Comfort using generative AI tools to improve efficiency and quality of work.
• Knowledge of EPR/FPR, PCR mandates, recyclability and sustainability reporting expectations.

Responsibilities

• Define, track, and own key sustainable packaging metrics with leadership.
• Translate results into actionable insights for BG/BU leadership.
• Collaborate across Commercial, R&D, Operations, and other teams to improve PCR and recycle-ready packaging visibility.
• Support customer sustainability requests including EPR/FPR compliance and LCA/PCFs.
• Monitor trends and educate the organization on sustainability reporting.
