Job summary

StaffedUp is seeking a skilled Sushi Roller to join our culinary team and craft exceptional sushi that delivers both flavor and visual appeal. You will prepare traditional and modern sushi, maintain high standards, and contribute to an outstanding guest experience in Osage Beach, MO.

You will work closely with the kitchen to ensure freshness, presentation, and consistency while collaborating on menu innovations and seasonal specials.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Sushi Roller or in a similar role.
• Excellent knife skills and knowledge of sushi preparation techniques.
• Understanding of proper handling and storage of raw fish and seafood.
• Attention to detail and commitment to food quality and consistency.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Food safety certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sushi rolls, sashimi, nigiri, and specialty dishes with expert knife work and presentation.
• Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and meet quality standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized sushi station throughout service.
• Monitor inventory and assist with ordering fish, produce, and specialty items as needed.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff and front-of-house team to ensure smooth service.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Innovate new menu items or seasonal specials in collaboration with the head chef or management.
