Job summary

Bento Inc. in Chicago is seeking a Food Production Worker to join our team at the Chicago Food Factory. You will focus on creating quality sushi and other Bento products, maintaining a sanitary work environment, and supporting a collaborative team.

The role offers full-time hours starting immediately with shifts from early morning to night. You will handle rice cooking, ingredient prep, sushi rolling, cutting, sorting, and packaging while adhering to food safety standards and contributing to

Qualifications

• You thrive in a highly repetitive task environment.
• Able to work in a refrigerated, cold climate (40°F working climate, walk in refrigerator and 0°F for walk in freezer)
• Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lb) where required and stand for extended periods
• Flexible to work various shifts and weekends

Responsibilities

• Prepare sushi and other products including cooking rice, preparation of raw ingredients, sushi rolling, cutting, sorting, and packaging.
• Ensure all operating standards including food safety are adhered and final products meet quality standards.
• Wash all pots, pans, inserts, utensils, etc. and clean kitchen equipment when called upon and as per cleaning schedule.
• Maintain a favorable working relationship with all other teammates to foster and promote a working environment that maximizes morale, productivity, and efficiency.
