Job summary

Bento is seeking a Food Service Team Member at its Morehead, KY location to join a fast-paced sushi operation. You will prepare sushi, maintain food safety, track production, manage inventory, and support store staff with kitchen and bar operations.

No sushi experience is required; full training is provided. This full-time role starts immediately with competitive hourly pay of $18.00, opportunities for advancement, and benefits from the Bento group.

Qualifications

• Food service experience required; sushi experience is an asset.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and hygiene standards.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Comfortable using basic technology for communication and training.
• Ability to lift up to 20 kg (45 lbs).
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Food Handler Certification is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sushi and other menu items according to company recipes and quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and maintain accurate logs.
• Track daily production and assist in kitchen operations.
• Receive, check, and organize inventory, and assist with ordering.
• Work closely with store staff and management to ensure smooth sushi bar operations.
• Use Bento operations tools to update production, inventory, and other data.
• Maintain Bento customer experience standards.
