Job summary

Wegmans in Morrisville, NC is seeking a Prep Cook to help prepare fresh sushi and other menu items, working alongside experienced sushi chefs in a fast-paced, customer-focused setting.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Food preparation experience preferred, especially in sushi or prepared foods.
• Experience working as a Prep Cook / apprentice cook; culinary training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients, including slicing fish, cutting vegetables, and making sushi rice.
• Assist in making sushi rolls, nigiri, sashimi, and other menu items according to recipes and standards.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and food safety compliance.
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced setting with timely preparation.
• Uphold high presentation standards and customer satisfaction.
