Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Sushi Maker or similar role preferred but not required. Training provided.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sushi rice and ingredients for sushi rolls.

Join our team as a Sushi Maker at GYOTAKU JAPANESE RESTAURANT! Whether you're a seasoned sushi chef or just starting out, we offer competitive pay rates from $16 to $24 per hour plus tips, based on experience. This position is available for both part‑time and full‑time roles with morning and evening shifts available.

Sushi Maker Pay Grades

• Sushi III – Trainee through ability to work maki rolling station expertly: $16 - $18/hr.
• Sushi II – Ability to work maki and nigiri stations expertly: $18 - $21/hr.
• Sushi I – Ability to work maki, nigiri, fish cutting stations expertly: $20 - $24/hr.
