Role and Responsibilities
Position Summary:

As a Sushi Cook at MSP, you will perform all duties necessary to support the business, including food preparation according to specifications and time limits, and ordering ingredients as directed.

Responsibilities:
  • Follow standard preparation and cooking procedures as designated by the manager or chef.
  • Adhere to recipes, portion controls, and presentation standards.
  • Coordinate food delivery within time standards.
  • Demonstrate product standards and recipe knowledge daily.
  • Set up, maintain, and close stations, including cleaning and prepping.
  • Prepare and plate food items according to specifications and time limits.
  • Maintain safety and sanitation standards.
  • Use personal protective equipment properly.
  • Maintain a neat appearance.
  • Respond to callbacks and echoes to ensure timely food preparation.
  • Maintain proper pH for rice and document it.
  • Ensure hot foods stay hot and cold foods stay cold.
  • Record waste and communicate issues immediately.
  • Assist with cleaning and organization of kitchen areas.
  • Order ingredients and supplies as directed.
  • Develop positive working relationships and focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Adhere to quality standards.
  • Perform additional duties as requested by management.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Experience in Japanese-style cooking.
  • Experience working in a sushi restaurant.
  • Pay rate: $23 per hour.
