Now Hiring: Sushi Cook – Belles Beach House, Venice Beach, CA

Pay: $23–$25 per hour, depending on experience

Location: Venice Beach, CA

Belles Beach House is a coastal-chic, Hawaiian-inspired restaurant located steps from the Venice Boardwalk. We blend laid-back island vibes with upscale tropical fare—and now, we're looking for a Sushi Cook to join our culinary team and elevate our raw bar offerings.

About The Role

As a Sushi Cook, you’ll be responsible for preparing high-quality sushi, sashimi, and other raw fish dishes with precision, speed, and care. This role is perfect for someone with a strong background in sushi and raw preparation, who values presentation and flavor as much as technique.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare sushi rolls, sashimi, and Poke to order with consistency and finesse
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and rotation of raw fish and sushi-grade ingredients
• Maintain a clean and organized sushi station throughout service
• Work closely with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure timely and accurate orders
• Handle special requests, dietary needs, and allergies with professionalism
• Support prep and setup for daily service, and participate in closing duties

What We’re Looking For

• Prior experience as a Sushi Cook or in a raw fish-focused role (1–2 years preferred)
• Strong knife skills and a deep understanding of fish handling and food safety
• A sharp eye for detail, plating, and portion control
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Positive attitude, team-first mentality, and solid communication skills
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
