Viceroy Snowmass is seeking a skilled Sushi Chef to join our Culinary team in Snowmass Village, Colorado. You will prepare high-quality sushi, ensure safety and presentation, and contribute to memorable dining experiences in a luxury hospitality setting.

The role requires traditional Japanese sushi expertise, strong kitchen operations knowledge, teamwork, and a flexible schedule including nights and weekends. This part-time seasonal position offers competitive hourly pay and industry perks.

Qualifications

• Experience preparing traditional Japanese sushi including nigiri, sashimi, hand rolls, and specialty rolls.
• Strong knowledge of sushi preparation techniques, seafood handling, food safety, and sanitation standards.
• Understanding of kitchen operations, inventory management, and quality control.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and present high-quality sushi, including nigiri, sashimi, hand rolls, and specialty rolls, ensuring exceptional taste, freshness, and presentation.
• Deliver outstanding dining experiences by consistently meeting culinary quality standards and guest expectations.
• Maintain strict food safety, sanitation, and health standards, ensuring compliance with company policies and local regulations.
• Manage sushi station operations, including food preparation, inventory control, stock rotation, and proper storage of perishable ingredients.
• Collaborate with Culinary leadership to develop, test, and refine recipes and menu offerings that enhance the guest experience.
• Monitor product quality, purchasing needs, and inventory levels to minimize waste and support operational efficiency.
• Support and guide Culinary team members by promoting teamwork, continuous improvement, and exceptional service standards.
• Coordinate with other departments to accommodate special requests, VIP guests, group dining experiences, and operational needs.
• Maintain kitchen equipment and workstations, communicating maintenance needs and ensuring readiness for daily food service.

In this role, you will create exceptional dining experiences by preparing high-quality sushi while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, presentation, and guest satisfaction.

The ideal candidate is a team-oriented culinary professional with expertise in traditional sushi preparation, a positive attitude, and a commitment to excellence. You will collaborate with our Culinary team to deliver memorable dining experiences in a dynamic luxury hospitality environment.

• Job Location: Viceroy Snowmass
• Pay Rate: $27-$30 per hour (based on experience)
• Schedule: Flexible schedule; nights, weekends, and holidays required
• Employment Status: Part-Time Seasonal
