Compensation

• Our Sushi Chefs are estimated to earn average daily tips of $50-$200, depending on volume.
• The estimated total average hourly compensation for Sushi Chefs (base hourly pay of $16.27 + tips) is $28-$48/hour ***These are estimates and actual tips may vary.

What you’ll do in this role

• Acquaint yourself with our menu, current specials, and Japanese cuisine.
• Learn and perfect your sushi techniques under the guidance of our skilled Chef teams.
• Understand proper handling and waste reduction of product
• Interact with guests at the sushi bar; take orders, explain dishes, and cultivate an amazing experience for yourself and the guest
• Learn our various sushi stations and progress as your knowledge and skills grows
• Collaborate with our teams to create dishes that will be showcased on our specials page and core menu!

Basic Qualifications

• Must be able to effectively communicate with guests and other employees
• Detect and identify safety issues, and comply with safety guidelines and standards
• Lift and carry trays, dishes, equipment, and goods up to 50 lbs, stock inventory, and perform restocking duties
• Must have the ability to stand and walk for extended periods

• Ability to work in a variety of temperatures, both hot and cold
