Job summary

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is hiring a Chef de Cuisine - Sushi to lead the sushi program at our Double Cut Steakhouse. You will oversee daily kitchen operations, ensure top-quality, fresh presentation, and mentor a culinary team in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.

Lead with love and drive an elevated dining experience, developing sushi menus and collaborating with leadership to maintain consistency and high standards across services.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional sushi experience with strong technique and presentation.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a high-volume restaurant.
• Strong knowledge of sushi-grade seafood: selection, handling, storage, prep.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily sushi kitchen operations with quality, consistency, and presentation.
• Oversee handling of sushi-grade seafood and safe storage practices.
• Prepare sushi, sashimi, nigiri, rolls with high attention to detail.
