JOEY Restaurants in Manhattan Beach seeks an energetic Sushichef to produce all sushi menu items in a fast-paced environment. You will be part of a team delivering iconic culinary experiences with high standards of quality and safety.

Role requires 1-3+ years of culinary experience, relevant local/state certifications, and a passion for hospitality. You will thrive in a dynamic setting and contribute to a world-class dining experience at JOEY locations.

Qualifications

• 1-3+ years of culinary experience.
• Must have or be able to obtain valid local and/or state Food Handler and California Responsible Beverage Service certifications.
• Passion for hospitality and world-class experiences.
• Thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.
• Be able to walk and stand for prolonged periods; lift up to 50lbs.

Responsibilities

• Prep all ingredients and food products to fulfill prep lists, par levels, and recipe standards.
• Utilize various prep and cooking methods to ensure quick, precise creation of menu items per JOEY recipes.
• Maintain prep and cooking areas in a clean, sanitary, and safe manner.
• Clean, organize, and maintain refrigerators, cooler drawers, ovens, prep and dry storage areas.
• Complete assigned side work and closing duties; stock, clean, and organize line stations.
• Follow safety instructions for kitchen equipment and report issues immediately.
• Follow food service and handling safety procedures.
