Job summary

The Arab-American Family Support Center (AAFSC) is seeking an Anti-Violence Program Case Manager to provide crisis intervention, safety planning, and direct services to survivors at the Family Justice Center in Brooklyn/Queens. The role focuses on intake, risk assessment, and coordinated support for victims of domestic violence, sex trafficking, and sexual assault.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor-level degree required in human services or related field.
  • Fluency in Spanish or Arabic preferred; reading/writing proficiency is a plus.
  • Relevant experience with domestic violence, trafficking, immigrants, refugees, and social justice.
  • Counseling, community organizing, and/or group work experience; trauma-informed approach.
  • Excellent interpersonal, cross-cultural communication and organizational skills.
  • U.S. work authorization required; background check and SCR clearance may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct intake with clients to assess risk and determine service needs.
  • Provide ongoing safety planning and survivor-centered case management.
  • Engage in crisis intervention and coordinate services with law enforcement, DA offices, hospitals, and other providers.
  • Provide information, advocacy and court accompaniment, including drafting Order of Protection petitions.
  • Assist with public assistance, housing, and other entitlements; help with OVS compensation processes.
  • Document sessions, maintain case files and prepare demographic reports for funders.
  • Attend trainings, meetings, and supervise sessions as required.
  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate case records and statistics.
  • Develop informational materials and present on domestic violence, gender-based violence, and resources.
