Job summary

University of California, Berkeley seeks an Advocate for the PATH to Care Center to provide confidential counseling, crisis support, and accompaniment to survivors of sexual violence and stalking. The role emphasizes culturally competent services and collaboration with campus resources.

You will manage a diverse caseload, engage in outreach, and help connect survivors with medical, legal, and support services across the university and community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• 65 hours of state mandated training and supervision required.
• Masters degree or psychotherapy license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Advocates survivors with cultural sensitivity across identities.
• Provides confidential crisis intervention, referrals, and follow-up support.
• Assists navigating court systems, District Attorney’s office, medical care, victim services, and housing where needed.
• Maintains confidential case files and analyzes data to inform outreach and response.
• Provides accompaniment to Title IX, law enforcement interviews, and court proceedings.
• Develops relationships with campus and community partners to support survivors.
