Job description

Survivor Link AmeriCorps members in the School of Social Work at Arizona State University will build capacity within social service and community-based agencies to implement evidence-based parenting education, parenting responsibility and healthy relationship skills programming for low-income Arizona parents. Members serve a minimum of 450 service hours. Through training, coaching, and support, members develop competencies in evidence-informed, integrated parenting education, parenting responsibility, and healthy relationship skills programming and organizational capacity building. By training agency staff, establishing implementation systems, and supporting sustainable program delivery, members create community impact by increasing access to family support services across Arizona. Members increase community access to parenting education and healthy relationship skills that strengthen families and improve outcomes. Members integrate service with their academic training, preparing for careers serving their communities while cultivating a commitment to National Service. Through Survivor Link AmeriCorps service, members strengthen their professional competencies while expanding agency capacity to deliver evidence-informed parenting education and healthy relationship programming.

Member Duties :

Survivor Link AmeriCorps_450-hour position members will build capacity within social service and community-based agencies while serving a minimum of 450 service hours in collaboration with their student internships. The member will implement evidence-based parenting education, parenting responsibility and healthy relationship skills within their agency setting, serving as trainers, facilitators, and implementation coaches. Working alongside agency staff to build workforce competencies in evidence-informed parenting education and healthy relationship skills facilitation, the AmeriCorps member will develop and sustain positive relationships with community partners. Community fieldwork will require regular documentation and supervision; members are required to submit OnCorps timesheets every week. Each AmeriCorps member may spend up to 20% of the 450-hour term-of-service in trainings. Members will be strongly encouraged to participate in AmeriCorps National Days of Service.
