Job summary

Copper Shores Community Health Foundation in Houghton, Michigan, is seeking a Victim Advocate to support survivors of sexual assault and their families. You will respond to crises, provide immediate empathetic support, and guide clients through medical, legal, and social resources.

The role is full-time, Monday–Friday with on-call flexibility. Start pay is $22–$26 per hour, with benefits including health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, paid time off, and a collaborative team

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.
• Experience or knowledge of crisis intervention is preferred.
• Prior victim advocacy experience is a plus.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and safety of survivors.

Responsibilities

• Respond to crisis situations with immediate support for survivors.
• Provide on-call crisis response on a rotating schedule.
• Offer information, referrals, and accompany clients to appointments.
• Maintain confidential case records and complete required reports.
