Job summary

Fishbeck, Thompson, Carr & Huber is seeking a Surveyor in Dayton, OH to join our survey team. You will support topographic mapping, construction staking, and boundary/control surveying using conventional equipment, robotic total stations, and GPS, reporting to a Senior Professional Land Surveyor.

The role requires an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in surveying or civil engineering and 3+ years of relevant experience, with opportunities for hybrid schedules and professional development.

Qualifications

• Requires an Associate degree in Surveying or Civil Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of related surveying experience requested.
• Ability to work independently on project sites and follow safety requirements.
• Ability to work well both independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Adjust and operate modern survey equipment.
• Read and interpret construction plans and specs for staking and layout.
• Record survey measurements and descriptive data in notes and sketches.
• Perform property research and collect field data for boundary surveys.
• Process data and create boundary/topographic/right-of-way/as-built surveys for AutoCAD Civil 3D.
