Job summary

Stantec in Columbus, OH, is seeking a surveying professional to perform field boundary, topographic, and construction staking tasks, operate laser scanners, GPS, robotic total stations, and support data collection with AutoCAD Civil3D. You will work under a Licensed Professional Land Surveyor or Survey Project Manager on a variety of projects.

You will perform field data collection, ensure safe operations, and advance toward Professional Licensure through hands-on field and office collaboration.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical school diploma/certificate in a related program with a minimum of 3 years of related work experience.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate measurements and calculations.
• Recording of field data.
• Supervising survey field crew.
• Ensuring completion dates and budgets are met.
• Utilizing Trimble Business Center to transfer data and acquire data for field use.
• Assist in the preparation of survey drawings using AutoCAD Civil3D.
• Identify hazardous situations and apply safety procedures.
