Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Surveyor to establish and maintain methods for safe, accurate and efficient field survey operations. The role focuses on field work, planning, executing surveys and ensuring quality data on projects.

Based in the South Central District with a Westlake, Texas home office, you will travel to varying sites across Texas and surrounding states as needed, supporting heavy civil, transportation, and water resource projects.

Qualifications

• 0-3+ years' experience in Construction Survey, Dimensional Control, Industrial Measurement, or a related field is required.
• Trimble experience is a plus.
• Experience with Rover and/or Total Station preferred but not required
• Dynamic thinker with the desire to lead, motivate and mentor teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong work ethic with the ability to work individually and as a team.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Position Overview

As a Surveyor, you will play an integral role in establishing and maintaining methods for safe, accurate and efficient Survey Field Operations. You will have responsibilities over field survey operations, and should plan to spend the majority of your time in the field performing survey field operations.

District Overview

Kiewit's South Central District is one of Kiewit's leading infrastructure districts specializing in heavy civil, transportation, and water resource markets. Projects you could be working on could include mass grading, drainage, paving, utility and more. Although most of our work is regionally based in the south-central region of the United States, we also pursue various projects stretching across the United States. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about infrastructure and committed to the construction industry as opposed to design.

Location

Kiewit's South Central District has a home office in Westlake, Texas but leads work all over Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Mississippi, and Louisiana. Responsibilities

Field Survey Operations:

• Implementing the project survey plan specific to field operations.
• Oversee the operation with periodic reviews of record keeping, field procedures and survey audits to ensure that all work is performed in an efficient and professional manner.
