We are currently seeking a Surveyor / Quality Control Technician to support data capture and coordination for architectural building envelope products. This role involves on-site surveying, data processing, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to ensure manufacturing precision and quality control.
The ideal candidate will be experienced with survey equipment (including Total Stations and 3D laser scanners), CAD software, and have familiarity with construction processes, particularly in the roofing or façade industry.
Conduct field surveys to establish gridlines, coordinates, and reference points for installations.
Capture data using Total Stations, 3D laser scanning technology, and GPS equipment.
Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate and consistent site data collection.
Process survey data into CAD formats compatible with manufacturing and design workflows.
Coordinate with clients and project managers to support seamless execution on-site.
Maintain and organize survey records, project plans, and related documentation.
Generate progress reports and updates for internal stakeholders.
Perform quality control inspections to ensure adherence to company standards.
Support the Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) and Project Management teams as needed.
Stay current on surveying and construction technology and best practices.
Hands-on experience with Total Stations, 3D laser scanners, and GPS survey equipment.
Proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar) and related data processing tools.
Prior experience in surveying or quality control in construction or fabrication preferred.
Knowledge of metal roofing, façades, or building envelope systems is a plus.
Associate or bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
Ability to adapt to new software platforms and technology.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Effective communication skills (written and verbal).
Familiarity with safety standards and construction site practices is preferred.
