Job summary

Kimley-Horn's Holly Springs, NC office is seeking a Surveyor in Training (SIT) with 5+ years of experience to join our Survey team. You will use AutoCAD Civil 3D to produce subdivision maps, ALTA surveys, and topographic surveys, while researching title documents and preparing legal descriptions for rights of way and easements.

The role requires a high school diploma, progress toward SIT certification, and strong communication and technical skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• In the process of SIT or SIT Certified.
• Working knowledge of Civil 3D.
• Prior relevant surveying experience.
• Strong communication and technical skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Use AutoCAD Civil 3D to produce subdivision maps, ALTA surveys, topographic surveys, and other survey exhibits.
• Research boundary and easement title documents and perform boundary analysis.
• Use field crew data, field sketches, photos and reference maps to create surveys.
• Prepare legal descriptions and exhibits for right of way, easements, and acquisition parcels.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned.
