Job summary

Ardurra Group, Inc. in Cape Coral, FL seeks a Surveyor II to join our survey office. You will prepare survey drawings from field surveys and supervise Survey Technicians, guiding data processing and CAD drafting using AutoCAD/Civil3D and related tools.

You will review field notes, compile data, and assist with legal descriptions and project meetings, collaborating with engineers and professionals to deliver accurate surveys.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geomatics or Engineering preferred.
• Licensed Professional Surveyor or eligible within 12 months.
• Meets all requirements for Surveyor I and minimum of 2 years of experience in responsible charge.
• Proficient with AutoCAD/Civil3D.
• Strong math skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Bluebeam (or Adobe).
• Ability to work in a team or individually and be self-motivated.

Responsibilities

• Provides support for Survey Technician staff
• CAD drafting and preparing draft and final documents
• Review field notes, reduce and rectify data, process field data
• In-office support to the department
• Data entry and CAD drafting
• Use AutoCAD/Civil3D and other databases for drafting and data processing
• Read and analyze legal descriptions from deeds and records
• Plot parcel lines from metes and bounds descriptions
• Prepare Sketch and Legal Descriptions
• Assist with right-of-way, deed, or other records research
• Collaborate with surveyors, engineers, and technicians
• Participate in project meetings and status reviews
• Review draft survey drawings for final project review
• Meet with clients and agencies to review duties of professional surveyors
• Licensed surveyors will sign and seal surveys under supervision
