Job summary

E-Z Bel Construction, LLC is seeking an experienced Surveyor to ensure fieldwork accuracy on civil and commercial projects in Texas. You will lead survey activities, operate Trimble GPS units, total stations, and optical levels, and guide the team with clear plan interpretation.

The role requires 5+ years in surveying, CAD proficiency, and strong leadership. Travel within Texas may be required, and we emphasize safety, accuracy, and quality in all tasks.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary resource for accurate field engineering work.
• Operate and maintain advanced surveying equipment (Trimble GPS units, total stations, and optical levels).
• Read and interpret project plans and specifications, providing clear guidance to the team.
• Supervise, train, and mentor Junior Surveyors and Rodmen.
• Establish lines and grades for construction, maintaining records and notes.
• Create and process CAD files, including cut sheets and drawings for layout reference.
• Perform quantity take-offs, as-built documentation, and cost calculations.
• Ensure timely submission of required documentation (timesheets and safety reports).
• Maintain survey equipment and oversee the organization of the survey fleet.
• Collaborate with inspectors, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure project success.

Position Summary

The Surveyor is an experienced professional responsible for ensuring the accuracy and reliability of fieldwork. This role involves advanced technical expertise in establishing lines, grades, and other measurements required for civil construction projects. The Surveyor plays a vital role in guiding teams, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with project specifications.

Your Role

What you bring

• Commitment to accuracy, safety, and quality in all tasks.

Physical Requirements

The Surveyor role requires lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, frequent standing, bending, and navigating outdoor environments with varying weather and terrain conditions. Manual dexterity and attention to detail are essential.

Travel Requirements

Must be willing to travel within the State of Texas as needed, overnight or out of town stay may be required.
